Morphe 2 Review!

It’s Emma here! Aliyah and I have decided to do some posts separately! We love doing the blog together… but sometimes our schedules don’t match up or we want to talk about different things!

On that note, today I’m gonna be talking about the new Morphe 2 launch! If you don’t know where Morphe is, it is a makeup brand that sells good quality makeup at a more affordable price. They do collabs with lots of influences, such as James Charles and Maddie Ziegler.  

With that being said, I was so excited for their new launch! It is called Morphe 2. I love the whole aesthetic of this makeup collection. The collection is going for a more natural dewy look opposed to a full glam look. Since I’m only in high school, I like more of the natural makeup look, so I was so excited about this collection. The products this launch includes are:

Hint Hint Skin Tint ($17), Gloss Pop Face & Eye Gloss ($12), Jelly Eye Shimmer ($10), Glassified Lip Oil ($9), The Sweep Life Brush Collection ($24), Wondertint Cheek & Lip Mousse ($12). 

The thing I think that really brought this collection to life is that Charli and Dixie D’Amelio are the face of this launch. That basically means they modeled the collection. I think that they were great for the whole vibe of Morphe 2 because they are known for wearing very natural glowy makeup. 

For my birthday, I got three products! I got the Gloss Pop Face & Eye Gloss, Jelly Eye Shimmer, and the Glassified Lip Oil! Keep reading if you want to hear my reviews of each of the products. 

Gloss Pop Face & Eye gloss:

Overall rating: 8/10

When I first heard about this product, I was so excited to try it out. It seemed like a super cool concept. It’s basically a tube of clear gloss that you put on your face to give it a few and dewy look. I overall love this product and think it does just what it claims to. The only thing that I didn’t like about it was if you put on too much it looks a little oily. I would say if you have oily skin that you would probably not like this product as much. 

Jelly Eye Shimmer (shade: sunshine):

Overall rating: 10/10

The reason I decided to get the Jelly Eye Shimmer was because I thought it would be an easy way to put on a cute eyeshadow look without spending any time… and I was not wrong! This product is the prettiest glow to your eyes without taking any time at all. The color I got has a really pretty golden glow which I LOVE! When the light is hitting your face it looks so sparkly and gorgeous. I consider giving this product a 9/10 because it doesn’t have that much product in it, but for the price I think it’s a lot actually!! 

Lip Oil (shade: mirror mirror):

Overall Rating: 9.5/10 

OK, this product was just what I hoped it would be and more! First of all, the formula is not sticky at all which is amazing because that is extremely hard to find with a lip product. Second, with using the tiniest amount you get the prettiest tint and glow. The shade I got is a pretty light pink color that just makes your lips look so luscious. The only reason I don’t get this product a 10 out of 10 is because it does not have a scent!! Sometimes it’s nice not to have a scent, but I personally really like having at least a tiny bit. But, that’s totally a personal preference. To wrap things up, I really want to get the entire collection of all the oils!!!!
