Vogue 73 Questions! ft. Aliyah and Emma

Hey there,

It's Aliyah and Emma! We are back at it again and ready to start posting more on the blog! Our lives got busy and we decided to take a small break from writing posts. But, don't worry we have been working on exciting things during our break and have lots of new content coming to you soon!

Today we had an idea to do our own take on Vogue 73 questions! If you don't know what that is, vogue does YouTube videos interviewing different celebrities and asks them 73 questions! So... we took that concept and put it into writing and created this post for y'all! Hope you learn a little bit more about us and enjoy it!

1.) What is your favorite thing to bake?

E: I love making big cakes and decorating them. Also baking a ton of christmas cookies during christmas is super fun.

A: hmmm I think I have to go with cupcakes, I love that you can make so many easily because I love to share what I bake

2.) Who’s your favorite singer?

E: Dua Lipa and Madison Beer! 

A: Ariana and Bazzi! I also love Madison Beer like Emma haha. Also these are bands but Social House and Surfaces too!

3.) What’s your favorite fruit?

E: PINEAPPLE 

A: raspberries, blueberries, and pineapple (yum!)

4.) Who is your biggest role model?

E: There's many people!

A: Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Bethany Hamilton, Michele Obama

5.) What’s something you do every morning?

E: Make a smoothie and do some skin care.

A: Wash my face 

6.) What’s your zodiac sign?

E: Leoooooooo (aka the best sign) 

A: Libra 

7.) In what way are you most like your zodiac?

E:  I would say I am very creative and thats a common trait of a Leo! 

A: I’m sooooo indecisive haha

8.)  What’s the most Cali thing about you? 

E: Probably that I love to swim and go to the beach. Also I really love shopping (I feel like this is very Cali bc of LA) and eating Cali type foods such as smoothies, açai bowls, and more! 

A: I CANNOT HANDLE THE COLD. I love the sun, heat, and most importantly the beach ♡  ☼ 

9.) What’s the most difficult part of having a blog?

E: Probably taking the time out of our day to day lives to get up posts. And growing our platform!! 

A: umm I think arranging a time that both Emma and I can work together 

10.) What’s something you wish you were good at?

E: Either writing neatly, art, or being flexible.

A: I wish I was really good at surfing (I’ve never actually tried tho so maybe I am haha)

11.) How would you describe your personal style?

E: fun, sparkly, extra

A: colorful, summery, cute

12.) What’s the most over worn item in your closet?

E: Sweatpants, leggings fs, and anything pink.

A: Ummm probably any of my lulu leggings

13.) What is your favorite food? 

E: It depends on my mood 

A: Quinoa quesadillas from my favorite cafe (it also has spinach, black beans, and a really yummy chipotle sauce on it)

14.) What is your favorite TV show?

E: GLEE ALL THE WAY. But, I also love all baking shows (especially holiday baking championships) and I really want to start watching Gilmore girls and Gossip girl!

A: Greys anatomy, Glee, Gossip Girl, and Jane the virgin.

15.) What song can you listen to on repeat? 

E: Tik Tok by the glee cast

16.) What is your favorite flower? 

E: Sunflowers and Daisies

A: Probably a hibiscus 

17.) Favorite subject in school? 

E: English and Drama

A: Math and history 

18.) What is your birthday?

E: Aug 7th ‘05

A: Sept 25th ‘05

19.) What do you want to be when you grow up?

E: I either want to be an occupation therapist, working in the beauty/fashion industry, or to develop my own makeup brand. 

A: This is such a hard one!!! I guess a pediatrician or some type of doctor 

20.) Dream college?

E: UCLA, UCSA, Yale, NYU, NYADA (if it was real), and possibly colombia idk hahah

A:  Yale, UCLA, UCSB

21.) What is your favorite number?

E: 7 and 11

A: 28 and 16

22.) What is your favorite animal? 

E: Unicorns ofc

A: Giraffes and Dolphins

23.) What is a must have beauty product?

E: mascara

A: mascara

24.) What is your favorite weather?

E: Either really hot (90°) or definitely rain!

A:  SUN, 90° HEAT!!!! 

25.) What is your favorite accessory? 

E: Cute hair clips, my tiny pink purse, or pura vida bracelets 

A: friendship bracelets and my pura vida sun ring 

26.) If you could meet any famous person who would you want to meet? 

E: I have a lot but here's a few: JLO, Alisha Marie, and the glee cast!

A: I have too many to list!!! 

27.) What is one thing you can not live without?

E: My family, friends, and having fun!

A: My friends and family 

28.) What is your biggest fear?

E: Bugs prob, bees, and lots more.

A: ahhh idk I guess it would be lightning! 

29.) What’s one song that's always stuck in your head?

E: This is so weird but I swear for years (not anymore) I had Mother Knows Best from Tangled in my head and it was the most annoying thing in the world

30.) What is the best disney movie?

E: Little Mermaid, Monsters University, Peter Pan, and literally all of them are my favs 

A: little mermaid, Lilo and stitch and Frozen 2

31.) What is your all time favorite disney channel movie?

E: High School Musical 2, Sharpay’s Fabulous adventures and Teen Beach Movie! 

A: High School Musical 2 and the Hannah Montana movie

E: Jessie or Liv and Maddie 

A: Hannah Montana

33.) Who is the best disney princess?

E: Ariel because I AM a mermaid 

A: Ariel and Cinderella 

34.) What is your favorite city?

E: LA, New York, and London! I love the big city feel. 

A: Palm Springs (the weather is sooo nice!) 

35.) What 5 words best describe you?

E: Creative, passionate, fun, outgoing, and extra lol! 

A: excited, competitive, happy, enthusiastic, and passionate 

36.) What time do you wake up on the weekend?

E: It depends but around 9:20 (thats weirdly specific)

A: I wake up around 6:15 am everyday no matter if it’s the weekend or not

37.) Favorite movie? 

E: Mean Girls, LA LA Land, and The Devil Wears Prada

A: LA LA LAND

38.) What show would you love to make a cameo in?

E: def Glee as my top choice 

A: maybe outer banks or greys anatomy 

39.) What role do you wish you could play in a movie?

E: Sharpay from HSM, Elle Woods from Legally Blonde, Regina or Gretchen from Mean Girls, or Mia from La La Land. OR JUST ALL OF THEM! 

A: Mia in La La Land or also Bethany Hamilton in Soul Surfer! Or also Torrance from Bring it On! ALSO HANNAH/MILEY IN THE HANNAH MONTANA MOVIE

40.) What’s your guilty pleasure?

E: chips

A: Sour candy haha

41.) What’s something you’ve always wanted to try but are too afraid to?

E: Go surfing but I hate fish and really don’t wanna see any sharks. Otherwise I would be surfing 24/7

A: Skydiving but you have to be 18 though :(  

42.) What are your nervous habits?

E: tapping my feet

A: Peeling the skin off my thumbs (when I have a big test coming up my thumbs are literally purple) 

43.) Where can you see yourself living in the future?

E: Some big cities like LA, New York, or Seattle. But I also love Malibu like Aliyah! 

A: Definitely Malibu or somewhere in Hawaii

44.) What is your dream travel destination?

E: Bora Bora (I have been begging my parents for so long) I also really want to go to Greece, and Italy would be super fun. But, someday I would love to travel the world!! 

A: Greece or Bora Bora

45.) What is your favorite place you’ve ever visited?

E: I enjoy every place because they are all different and unique! 

A: Isla Mujeres, Mexico

E: Lavender, Pink, and White!

E: Wicked!!!

A: Grease for sure!

48.) What is something you have been doing a lot recently?

E: I have also been making TONS OF SMOOTHIES AND SMOOTHIE BOWLS! 

A: I’ve recently been making a ton of friendship bracelets and I’ve been sleeping with them on and showering with them on so I’m literally always wearing them haha

49.) What country do you want to visit most?

E: Italy and Greece

A: Greece probably 

50.) Favorite game?

E: Clue fs! 

A: clue haha (I’m so good at it.) I also love scrabble 

51.) What is your favorite memory from freshman year of high school (current grade)?

E: Walking to Good Earth with Aliyah every friday (and sometimes with other people), and just having fun at off campus lunch.

A: Probably finals week because we got to go home at 12 pm everyday and most finals didn’t take as long as allotted so there was a lot of time after for just having fun in class

52.) For what in your life do you feel most grateful?

E: I am grateful for the best family and friends and to have so many amazing opportunities in my life to do what I am passionate about.

A: I’m so grateful for where we live, we live in such a beautiful area and we’re only like 10 mins from the beach.

53.) Are there any songs that will make you cry?

E: I don’t think so… oh wait Perfect from glee and If I Die Young from glee hahah.

A:  Supermarket Flowers and The Best Day 

54.)Where do you hope to be in 10 years?

E: in a big city having the time of my life. Overall just having fun.

A: happy and having fun 

55.) Would you ever get a tattoo?

E: I would consider getting a small dainty one but nothing more than that. 

A:  Maybe but only something small that isn’t very noticeable.

56.) What’s a song you know by heart?

E: To many. I can memorize songs really quick

A: Love story, IFLY, literally everything on the Thank U next album, also pretty much every hsm and Hannah Montana song!

57.) Favorite Taylor Swift song?

E: Love story, the man, fifteen.

A:  Love story, teardrops on my guitar, the best day, you belong with me, and fifteen!

58.) Fav Ariana Grande song?

E: Depends on the day! But I really like a lot of her older songs… but wait I also like the more recent ones too!! Sweetener is one of my all time favs.

A: Thank u next, sweetener, imagine, NASA, the way!!

59.) How many houses/apartments have you lived in?

E: 3

A: 2

60.) What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned?

E: Do not be afraid to go after what you want and to be ambitious in life. STAND OUT. And mistakes happen and it will all be ok. 

A: as cliche as it is; BE YOURSELF

61.) What 3 things are at the top of your bucket list?

E: Travel the world, go on a big trip with all my friends, and to somehow give back to the world. 

A: TRAVEL, skydiving, and swimming with dolphins (respectfully and safely), actually never mind I think Emma’s things are my top 3 and what I wrote can be my next 3

62.) What TV show character would you love to play?

E: Quinn, Brittany, or Santana from glee. But, it would also be super fun to play either Kie or Sarah from outer banks! 

A: OMG I WOULD ALSO LOVE TO BE QUINN OR KIE! Also Izzie in Greys or Blair Waldorf ♡ 

63.) What’s the best song to dance to?

E: Girls just wanna have fun

A: I’LL DANCE MY HEART OUT NO MATTER WHAT IS PLAYING ♡ 

64.) Favorite candy?

E: Haribo berries, and anything sour. 

A: Airhead bites extremes

65.) Favorite dessert?

E: Slushies lol

A: Apple pie

66.) Favorite movie as a kid?

E: Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, and The Parent Trap. You could also say just all the princess movies! 

A:  The Parent Trap, and Little Mermaid

67.) If your life was a song what would the title be?

E: like Aliyah said Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. that's the only thing i can think of ahaha 

A: GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN (even tho that already exists haha) 

68.) First thing you think of when you wake up every morning?

E: Why is it so early? 

A: Every morning I try to think of the exciting things happening later that day

69.) Spirit animal?

E: A UNICORN 

A: a mermaid or a dolphin♡ ☼ 

70.) When was the most nervous you’ve ever been?

E: I honestly do get that nervous before stuff like plays. But, I do get very nervous before tests. 

A: Definitely before my Bat Mitzvah and also I was “Global Valedictorian” for my school so I gave a speech at our middle school graduation in front of like 1000 people and I hadn’t practiced a lot!!

71.) Who would play you in a movie about your life?

E: Honestly probably Aliyah lol. I feel like she knows me pretty well and she is of course amazing at theater. Celebrity wise probably Reese Witherspoon. 

A: Aww I love the idea of playing Emma in a movie about her and I would love for her to play me! I’d also love Blake Lively or Emma Stone!

72.) Biggest pet peeve?

E: chewing and people being super close to me

A: impatience 

73.) Least favorite food?

E: Bananas, and tomatoes. 

A: Bananas and tomatoes (haha we have like the same taste buds)
