Hey sweeties,
Due to the current quarantine, a lot of us are doing online school. As a result, we know it can be hard to stay productive. We wanted to share some of our tips to help you stay on task when working from home!
1.) Make a schedule and stick to it!
The night before or the morning of your day, make a schedule to plan out your day! This could be anything from a list of each class period and the work you have to do, an hour by hour list, etc.
2.) Set reminders on your phone!
Having a notification pop up on your phone is a great motivator to get you to do something. It’s especially helpful to have a reminder stuck on your phone until you accomplish the task.
3.) Take timed breaks!
For an example, if you complete one class make sure to do something you enjoy before the next class. But, make sure to not get too distracted when doing this. Time limits will help you stay on task. Like you could make sure to only do 15 mins of creative time, and then start back up at school. It's important so your mind does not get burnt out! Some things you could do are write in a journal, draw something, call a friend, do a quick work out, ect. Just whatever makes you happy :)
4.) Take a quick morning shower!
If you take a nice cool shower it will make you more awake and feel more put together. Make sure the shower is NOT hot, or else that will make you feel very sleepy and not alert. Also make sure to wash your face and do some skincare afterwards, which will help wipe the sleepiness off your face!
5.) Get ready soon after you wake up!
It’s simple; the earlier you start your day the more you can complete during that day. Pajamas can trick your mind into only wanting to watch movies all day. However, looking and feeling put together and beautiful motivates you to be productive. Also, make sure to keep your outfit comfortable enough that you can still focus. We recommend also doing some light makeup (even if this is just mascara). It will just make you feel very put together and ready to start your day.
6.) DON’T PROCRASTINATE!
Procrastination is key to making you never finish anything. Finishing things early will allow you to work with greater care and let you accomplish more things.
7.) Do the harder work first!
When doing your harder work first, you will have more brain power, making it easier. Also, it's very satisfying to feel accomplished and nice to have an easy day to look forward to.
8.) Don’t overestimate how much you can complete!
Estimate exactly how much work you can complete in the day. When you have more work than possible to complete, you begin to stress and hurry through an assignment. But having just the right amount of work makes you feel confident and determined
9.) Eat a healthy breakfast!
This will make your body feel very clean and ready to start the day. Even if this is just an acai bowl, or a protein shake. Make sure that your food also looks very pretty and aesthetic, and this will make it so much more fun to eat!
10.) Stay positive!!!!!!!!!!!
Being negative will make you feel like all blah. But, when having a smile on your face you will feel a lot better about doing stuff!
